VibSpec

VibSpec is a company set up in 2004 by Peter de Peinder and Prof. Joop (John) van der Maas to meet the demands as regards training, software and consultancy services in the field of Vibrational Spectroscopy. VibSpec has access to high-end equipment at Utrecht University to perform NIR, MIR and Raman measurements (IR and Raman microscopes, ATR, DRIFT and specular or grazing angle). Vibspec is available to advise on subjects in the field of Near-, Mid- and Far-infrared as well as Raman spectroscopy and chemometrics. The successful infrared and Raman courses organised since 1965 by the Infrared and Raman group of Utrecht University, are continued by VibSpec since 2004. Currently courses are organised at Utrecht University on Multivariate Data Analysis, Interpretation of Infrared Spectra, Raman Spectroscopy and the basic International Infrared Course (IRC). Over 1500 people have attended these courses. VibSpec also arranges training on-site, tailored to the requirements of a customer. VibSpec is partner of the CatchBio consortium. CatchBio has initiated an ambitious research program of 8 years in the field of catalytic biomass conversion.
