Welcome to VibSpec

VibSpec is a company set up in 2004 by Peter de Peinder and Prof. Joop (John) van der Maas to meet the demands as regards training, software and consultancy services in the field of Vibrational Spectroscopy (Infrared and Raman Spectroscopy).

VibSpec is glad to announce, that the successful infrared and Raman courses thus far organised by the Infrared & Raman group of Utrecht University, are organised by VibSpec since 2004. Currently courses are organised at the Utrecht University on Multivariate Data Analysis, Interpretation of Infrared Spectra, Raman Spectroscopy and the International Infrared Course (IRC). Over 1500 people have attended these courses.

VibSpec is available to advise on subjects in the field of Near-, Mid- and Far-infrared as well as Raman spectroscopy. For example we are available for expert statements in law cases, pilot studies for process control and contamination and failure analysis. VibSpec has access to high end equipment at the Utrecht University to perform NIR, MIR and Raman measurements. An IR microscope, ATR, DRIFT and specular or grazing angle reflection accessories are available. Raman measurements can be performed with excitation wavelengths of 532, 785 (dispersive) and 1064 nm (FT).

Furthermore, VibSpec offers its expertise on the interpretation of infrared and Raman spectra, instrumentation, accessories, software and multivariate data analysis (chemometrics). VibSpec can also arrange training on-site, tailored to the requirements of a customer.

VibSpec is a partner of the CatchBio consortium. CatchBio initiates an ambitious research program of 8 years in the field of catalytic biomass conversion.
